If you ask the kalesa drivers in the heritage site for a place to eat, this is the place they have in mind. And since I have an Ilocano blood flowing in me, this suits for me. I love there wide variety of dinengdeng..just wow for me..

Our favorite carideria since childhood. Serves the same wide range lutong-bahay quality ilocano dishes at very affordable prices. I always crave for their igado and dinuydoy nga karabasa.

Searching for an alternative from the restos in the vicinity of Calle Crisologo, a good hearted girl heard our conversation and volunteered a canteen. We arrived and so a queue that is already on the sidewalk. Well, that long line must mean something and it does. They offer an extensive menu on a self service buffet type setting. Must try are the vegetable dishes. ( I ate here twice in our 7 day Ilocos stay, just because of that dinengdeng). Price? Affordable Serving? Good for one. Ambiance? a room full of people happy with their food.
